Red ribbon. not a cake.

Red ribbons are everywhere. It’s not a cake but real ribbons. It can be seen in an ID lace, arm, and any part of a uniform of a Miriam student. Why are they wearing ribbons? Is it an act of protesting?

Miriam College- last week, a student council in Miriam College commanded other officers to spread the message about red ribbons. Wearing a red ribbon means they were part of the protest about the wrong decisions made by the offices in Miriam College. Because of the questionable decisions of ADSA office, the students protest for their rights as a student. The said decisions were the Ah1n1 case and the more strict rules of the school.

In the first case, students questioned of not postponing the classes due to the disease. All schools followed what the D.O.H said except for Miriam College. The school told that it’s business. So students realized that business is more important than the health of everyone. The school also postponed all activities such as General Assembly, meetings, and other that many students are involved. The students again questioned it because many students encounter their schoolmates everyday so there’s no difference on that. Lots of protests were heard. The voices of students were heard by the letter written by a student council. The office replied to it but the protest didn’t stop there. Until now, many students wear ribbon with color red.

The second case is about of the strictness in terms of school policy. The famous violation today is because of the ID laces. Before, wearing ID laces such as lanyards and other school’s lace was not prohibited. But then they didn’t give students notice about this. They just gave students a violation form.

The school is getting stricter and for the students, it’s not good anymore. The offices couldn’t see or they just keeping their eyes closed for these kinds of matters. Students will never know if there’s no confrontation will happen.

my lifestyle.

My lifestyle is very simple. I’m not the type of girl who always buys new things. I am also not that someone who wants to have what’s in on our generation. Like in the movie confession of a shopaholic, she buys everything she wanted. Sometimes I wonder if I will have lots of money and have a chance to buy everything that I want. I came to a family that’s not rich but not poor. We’re on the middle. People said that when you’re the youngest in your family you are lucky. That’s not true. They just said it.

I rarely shop on malls. Instead of buying there I go straight where I can shop in a cheaper price. Like in divisoria, greenhills, and other malls that has cheap prices. I don’t mind if my clothes are not signature as long as I have things to wear that’s fine with me. But if I have money I always clothes especially blouse and jeans. I always bought some dunks (a kind of shoes). Sketchers, nike, converse, and ecko red has fine and good quality of rubber shoes not only for sports but also in dancing. I dance a lot so as a dancer I should know where to buy good quality of shoes. The shoes of those stores have good designs also that I think dancer preferred also. I also like cellphones. I buy nokia phones but one time I swap it to Samsung and regret it. I always see that if I will have a phone it should have a good resolution of camera. I am vain. I admit it.

Products or thing are very important to my life, like cellphone, laptop, bags and other more. These things really help me in my daily life. It made me communicate easier and faster unlike before I rent computer so I can do my research and powerpoints. I always like talking to someone so it really helps me a lot. It also enhances my lifestyle as a communication art student because dealing with people is important to us.

In vacation, I always want to go to the beaches. It really relaxes me and I love beach! The waves and the shores are really good. Some beaches that I went were olongapo, pagbilao, and latest is in pangasinan. I really admired the nig waves and the view there.

In future, I will have a job that will really define me. I’m planning also to have a dance studio for those who want to learn dancing. I also want to manage some events. I really want to cope with people. Advertising is in line. Doing some ads is frustrating but enjoying. I really want to do many things in the future but I will do it step by step.

my birthday bash

I never thought I will have a very happy birthday. Because of financial problems, I know that I can’t have a party. In the 23^rd of June, I was surprised when my classmates gave me a cake and bouquet of flowers. We held my birthday at shakey’s katipunan. I really enjoy that day. They also gave me messages that really touched my heart until now. I really love receiving messages from other people. It really makes me happy. We had lots of fun that time. Although the weather was not in good condition, it has never been a hindrance of happiness. When I got home, I thought we will have something special. We don’t have electricity due to the weather and yet we don’t have any celebration. I was sad and cried because I expected to have a mini celebration. I was hoping to have a spaghetti or pancit but there’s no any of it. I got disappointed that my family didn’t make something special on m birthday. It’s my 18^th birthday, and it is every girl’s important day in their life. And then someone called me, it was ate beng. We were planning on my party on that time. They know how I wanted to have a party. So it was set. The party was held at their house and it’s for our Theatre organization only because of the foods and the capacity of the house. Then the moment I waited for has come. I helped them in cooking. Actually I don’t cook. I just helped them in preparing the food. We also fixed the design of the place. Kuya Apro and I went to Marikina to get my parent’s gift to me. It’s my birthday cake. That cake has a tinker bell design so I’m very happy because it’s my favourite character. As we arrived, some of them arrived from their activity in the church. I rested then fixed myself for the party. I was wearing a green cocktail dress and sandals. Actually I don’t like wearing cocktail dress. But they said that I should wear clothes like that and so I did. I’m very nervous that time because of what will happen. My family went there also but gone home early. They didn’t saw the program of the party. First, we prayed and watched the video that I made. After that we ate first because some of my friends that were on the list of 18 roses were not there. When we’re complete the party started. I’m happy when the 18 candles gave some messages to me. It made me cry that night when Maylyn, Ate beng and Tito Carl gave me messages. Maylyn and Ate beng is very close to me. They are my best friend, sister, and soul mate. They were the one who helped me to have this kind of party; Tito Carl is our President and a mother also. I’m very happy that I have them three especially my two sisters. After that my 18 roses dance with me. Some of them made me cried, some made me laughed. My last dance is very memorable. He didn’t give me a stem of rose but a bouquet of red roses. After that he gave me a ring that made all of my friends shouting and teased us. I’m touched, happy, and made me super “kilig”. I gave message also to everyone and thanked them for everything. Only if I can have all my friends in one party then I will do it. But of course this is not the time. Maybe in other time it will.

I’m really blessed to have friends like them. I never thought how I will be if they weren’t here with me. I really want to thank my block mates and my DBS Family for giving me such special things like that. I really appreciated it. I will never ever forget that moment with them. I love them so much. It’s not only on what things they gave me but also it’s the moment with them that made me so happy.

a fairy story :))

College student like me have fun with Disney Characters. Ladies do like kid’s stuff also. But in all characters there, I like Tinker Bell more. She was seen in the movie of Peter Pan as his side kick. Tinker bell was in-love by him, so she got jealous when peter saw Wendy. She also hired the lost boys to shoot arrows to Wendy. Tink was also seen in Hook, Never land, and other more Peter pan movie.

Tinker bell or tink for short was an important icon over a century. During her early existence, she uses wand to sprinkle her fairy dust to the people who wants to fly. From the word tinker, she mends pots and kettles. She talks like the sound of the tinkling bells which cannot recognize if you are not a fairy. Tinkerbell can hold one feeling so when she is angry she can’t balance herself. She had a movie last 2008 and was named after her. In that movie also was the release of other pixie fairies in the Disney world. At first she was included in Disney Princess which converted to Disney fairies.

In her movie “tinkerbell”, a white hairy flower (I don’t know the name) came on the fairies’ world. Then the leader of all fairies cast a spell on it and it became tinkerbell. She was in her white dress that time. The leader gathered all fairies and presented their symbols. So tinkerbell should choose the element she is meant for. She was clustered on the fairies that mend pots. She also made friends from other fairies in their land.

I really love tinkerbell when I saw her in my niece’s birthday. Disney fairies were the theme of the party. She is so cute and pretty. Since then when I saw things that has tinkerbell, I buy it. Sometimes things come and you didn’t expect liking it. There’s no big deal liking child stuff. It’s part of our life. Just don’t forget that you’re in a right age now.

Art of blogging

Technology made many changes in the way we live. It made harder things to be simple. As we can see today, many people use modern technology to work easily and fast. We also witnessed the humongous number of cars created for the people. Technology also made communication to be easier and faster. Before, people use pen and paper to write unlike now we have an Internet that has what we called e-mail. Through that we can send messages faster that you could ever think. Indeed, technology is the greatest thing we have been experiencing right now.

In communication, we also have Friendster, multiply and other networks that can build connection from other people. We could also share something we want to say by blogging. Lots of blog sites are coming up today. We have blogger, tumbler, wide press etc. Many people now a day blog and tell what’s in their mind. Blogging is the simple way to express your thoughts and share it with other people. In this way, you could inspire lots of mind through your blog.

The Art of blogging includes some life changing events, reflections on the happenings on one’s life and other things. You could write everything under the sun. Blogging made also our imagination to be widened and enrich your knowledge. Reading blogs of other people can develop you as a person. A person could also reflect from other’s blog if they want to. Sometimes you could build new friends in blogging. Since people you do not know can read it they can tell something about your blog through commenting on it. Blogging gave also fun and enjoyment in our lives. It is also like writing about yourself and from that you can see you’re learning more as an individual, as you.

I’m not used to write my thoughts so the tendency was I don’t know how to express it. At first, I thought blogging is no fun then I realized how it greatly affects my life now as a person. It relaxes my mind simply by just writing something and many people will read what you had said. Since blogging was introduced I could say what I want to and reflect on things. In this way, I can express my feelings and many people, as my readers, could express also what they want to comment on my side.
